Action Groups work together independently to provide environmental education; promote sustainable civic ordinances; enhance public transportation opportunities; community gardens, and more, specifically suited to their geographic location, resources, and identified need.

CSMC is actively collaborates with other groups on issues that affect the sustainability of our communities to amplify our voices.
Waste Reduction We attempt to make all CSMC events zero waste and avoid single use throw aways. We work with The Offset Project toward that goal.
Alternative Energy Community Choice Aggregates are a way to provide clean local energy without Wall Street’s cut.

Fort Ord

KFOW_Logo02CSMC supports the preservation our coastal oak woodlands and open space on the closed Fort Ord. We support the preservation of open space and recreational uses for areas that include an estimated 50,000 oak trees, endangered species, unique habitat, and wildlife.
